Hal, along with Tom and Scott, attempt to raid Chance, Malcolm and Savannah. While Tom holds Chance at gunpoint, he looks in the windows for any other survivors. Seeing none, he lets his gaurd down. Malcolm comes out of nowhere and hits him in the head with a machete, killing him
