Bessie Whyte is a supporting character in Safe House.

Pre-Apocalypse

Prior to the apocalypse, Bessie was friends with Rosa and Erica. They went shopping together the morning of the outbreak at Fort Bargain, and were trapped inside the security room and saved by Clay.

Post-Apocalypse

After being trapped in the security room for several hours, Bessie was only rescued when Sheriff Phil Adede and his deputies arrived.

She later got in a fight with Erica when she talked poorly about a deceased friend. In an attempt to distract herself from the situation with her friends, Bessie attempted to flirt with Zach, who had previously shared a college class with her.

She remained unaware of Rosa's murder until she accidentally discovered the body.
